Derek Fountain, Application Security Specialist

I've been an IT Consultant for around 16 years. I have a wide range of experience, and specialise in networks and secure coding methods. I've been a software developer for over 20 years, and I have extensive experience - over 10 years - in testing and test systems. I currently reside in Perth, but have many contacts and previous assignments in the UK.

I've been taking on freelance vulnerability and penetration testing contracts since 2004. Although I have experience in network security, firewalls and social engineering, my niche is web applications.

For Australian assignments I work through my personal Australian Business Number. For European assignments I trade through a UK Limited company. Full details are available on request. I sometimes accept work via third parties, depending on client requirements.
